Organized and launched by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union from April to October 2023, the 2023 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign focused on implementing the policy of "3 links" (linking forces, linking localities, and linking community) and promoted synchronous digital transformation in all aspects of the Union's work.

In 2023, the 23rd year of the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, with the attention and direction of the Youth Union - Vietnam Student Association of Hanoi city and VNUA’s Party Committee and Board of Presidents, and VNUA’s Youth Union - Student Association continued to respond, launch and deploy a summer volunteer campaign to a large number of union members and students throughout the university from July 4, 2023 to July 30, 2023.
The 2023 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign had been organized widely, effectively, safely and sustainably in association with political tasks and actual needs of each locality and unit. Volunteer activities focused on promoting the expertise of young people in their professional fields and strengths.
Over the years, VNUA’s youth had always promoted and inherited traditional values, actively devoted their youth, knowledge, wisdom, and creativity to the Youth Union’s work and youth movements, mostly by perform volunteer services for the community. The volunteer teams participating in the summer youth volunteer campaign traveled to localities with many difficulties, to the localities near borders and in the islands to contribute to the construction of new rural areas and enhance social security; especially, many models were implemented effectively and brought about practical results. Through these activities, many typical examples of young volunteers who had made many contributions to the locality and units and had been always enthusiastic in all movements, had arisen, creating a beautiful image of VNUA’s students.

This year's campaign, VNUA’s Youth Union - Student Union would focus on implementing volunteer activities on the spot and continue to travel to localities such as Quang Ninh, Hoa Binh, Bac Giang, Thanh Hoa, and Lang Son provinces, etc. with the participation of more than 300 volunteers from 11 volunteer teams established by VNUA’s Youth Union. In addition to the contents launched by the Central Youth Union and Hanoi Youth Union, the Youth Union - Student Union of the university would deploy more specific contents, suitable to the university's expertise, be creative and active in the digital transformation during the implementation of the activities, and closely pay attention to the actual situation in the locality where the summer volunteer campaign of the unit took place, thereby creating sustainable effects and continuous connection in the implementation of the youth projects and tasks.

The 2023 Summer Youth Volunteer campaign included many rich and practical contents, promoting the spirit of impulse and volunteering of young people in participating in socio-economic development and solving issues of public interest; building new rural areas and civilized urban areas; ensuring social security, national defense and security, especially in difficult, remote and border areas, islands, ethnic and religious areas.
Accordingly, on July 4, 2023, the opening ceremony of the 2023 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign was officially held at VNUA.
