Speaking at the program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Ngoc Huyen, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Chairman of VNUA Council, VNUA’s Vice President, affirmed that VNUA always focused on equipping students with knowledge and skills to help them gain many opportunities to develop themselves to meet all society's needs for high-quality human resources. In particular, in the era of digital transformation, students needed to be trained intensively, confidently take control of their future, and orient their expertise to choose suitable careers after graduation. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Ngoc Huyen emphasized that the concept of "digital transformation" was being mentioned intensively in the mass media. Digital transformation had been changing all areas of social life, including labor and employment, so it was also a major concern affecting the training majors of universities, including VNUA. Therefore, the talk show "Job opportunities for students of Vietnam National University of Agriculture in the era of digital transformation" had a very important meaning to orient future job opportunities for students since they were still in university. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Ngoc Huyen hoped that through each learning support and skill development program, students would accumulate more knowledge and experience in establishing themselves, starting their career or starting a business, thereby contributing to the development and protection of the country. At the same time, VNUA hoped to continue to receive the attention and companionship of both domestic and foreign businesses to create more job opportunities for students after graduation.

Participating in the discussion program, Mr. Hoang Nam Tien, Vice Chairman of the FPT University Council, interacted and discussed with VNUA’s students with content related to skill development and job opportunities in the digital transformation era. According to Mr. Hoang Nam Tien, with the intervention of industry, digital transformation brought not only many job opportunities but also many challenges to students. Not only unskilled workers and workers in factories, but also office workers who were confident that they were educated and had degrees could also be replaced by AI-controlled robots. Mr. Hoang Nam Tien also emphasized creative thinking, data thinking, technology understanding, lifelong learning, resilience, systems thinking, AI, IoT, Big Data, motivation and especially English proficiency of today’s Generation Z.

Students participating in the program frankly expressed their opinions and asked questions to discuss with speaker Hoang Nam Tien, representatives of businesses and VNUA’s lecturers. According to the students, when studying at VNUA, in addition to absorbing professional knowledge from a team of highly qualified lecturers, VNUA always cared about training them in necessary soft skills, especially skills associated with digital transformation. Most of the students attending the discussion expressed that they were ready for jobs in the digital transformation period and determined to change themselves to meet the requirements of the digital transformation period to contribute to building a mighty Vietnam.
